La Corte is a beautiful apartment in the historic center of the ancient town of Cortona, charming and beautiful medieval village that owes its origins to the ancient Etruscan civilization, of which today we find evidence throughout the town. Cortona is situated at the top of a hill from which it proudly dominates the whole Valdichiana and Lake Trasimeno.
La Corte is located on the ground floor of an old building born from the union of ancient luxury homes and apartments. We are in the heart of the old town of Cortona, the center of social and cultural life and a step away from all services, but at the same time immersed in a peaceful and calm atmosphere. Perfect and romantic all year round this beautiful apartment is a luxury corner of paradise in the town center.
Interior Description
Appartamento La Corte is a large and spacious accommodation (180 square meters) furnished with high quality and luxury materials yet paying particular attention to details which make it one of a kind. The apartment develops on two levels connected through an internal original spiral staircase.
On the ground floor you enter the large and cozy living room with a sofa, satellite TV, dining table and kitchen, also very spacious and complete with everything needed to prepare meals or to welcome a chef who will cook exclusively for you. The kitchen is complete of a convenient island where you can prepare your meal all together.
Through the staircase you reach the sleeping area. It consists of a small living room where you can relax before going to sleep. From here you can directly access the internal court of the building. From the living room you reach a double bedroom, a twin bedroom (convertible into a double room if necessary) and a beautiful Suite with tub and en-suite bathroom with shower. All are enhanced by exposed beams and terracotta floors, giving you a sense of serenity and family warmth. Two bathrooms, both with showers complete the sleeping area.
Appartamento La Corte has free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and heating (both payable upon consumption), washing machine and dryer.

Excellent well equipped and spotlessly clean property perfectly located in the centre of Cortona.
All arrangements and communication with the host were faultless.
We were met from the shuttle from the station and taken to the property and everything explained.
We came for a wedding at the town hall a very short walk away so ideal for us.
Guests should be aware that the property has very little natural light which is probably a bonus in very hot weather because it stays cool. Also, the only outside seating is very limited and in an internal courtyard surrounded by four high walls.

Great location to the Main Street and piazzas in Cortona. It is quiet in the bedrooms for a good nights sleep. RentinTuscany was terrific to work with considering we rescheduled 4 times due to COVID. Very helpful to answer questions and willing to set up tours for us as we used Cortona for our base on our vacation.

This is a truly unique apartment. The main level is a converted cellar of a 700 year old building that has been fabulously remodeled and is extremely cozy. Because it was partially underground, it also stayed nice and cool, which was a reprieve from the heat outside. The master bedroom is breathtaking with a brick ceiling and a freestanding tub. On top of that, Alice was an amazing host and was a tremendous help. The entrance was a one minute walk up an alley to the main square of Cortona. Can't say enough good things about this place. We will definitely visit again!

This place was simply, in a word, amazing! After staying in (Hidden by Airbnb) s in Rome and Florence, this apartment was a very, very pleasant surprise and even better than the pictures! The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been to have an extra day here. Alice, too, was simply amazing with everything from minor maintenance issues, arranging transportation from the local train station, providing quotes for tours (although we found more affordable options), suggesting local restaurants, giving advice on pretty much anything I wasn't sure about, etc... She was pretty much like our personal concierge! There were some comments in the guest book about it being dark - it is a bit cave-like, without much exterior light, but is very zen-like, cool, very nicely decorated with high-end furnishings, spacious and private. Alice was extremely helpful in all stages of booking, arrival, during our stay and departure. My wife and I are actually convinced that we will return to Cortona and will work with Alice to secure a place to stay and would absolutely stay in this particular apartment again. Did I mention that Alice was awesome?
