Villa Ilaria is a beautiful Villa situated in the stunning hill of Cortona in a 8 hectares property characterized by olive trees and woods. It has a dominating position on the entire valley yet offering a breathtaking overlooking view on the Valdichiana and on the Trasimeno Lake.
It is situated in the proximity of the historic center of Cortona (15 minutes walking) giving you the possibility to have all the services at the fingertip yet spending your time in the spirit of privacy and relaxation thanks to its secluded position.
Its such central position will allow you to discover the most beautiful Tuscan and Umbrian cities yet arranging pleasant daily trips.
In the past, Villa Ilaria was a windmill for grinding grain coming from the surrounding countryside and it has been keeping some parts of the building intact since 1400. During the years it had been becoming part of the estate of some of the noble families of Cortona up to the current owners who restored the Villa keeping the Tuscan style and the farmer traditions intact.
The entire property is composed of two stoned Villas that can accommodate up to 10 guests allowing the families and groups of friends spending an holiday all together yet mantaning the own privacy.
The outdoor area is characterized by the typical Tuscan terraces for the cultivation of olive trees and the spacious garden rich in flowers and wild plants. There is a little garden where you can pick vegetables and aromatic herbs up.
You will have also a barbecue, a fireplace and tables at your disposal to enjoy your al fresco dishes.
The wonderful swimming pool (6X12) is exposed to the sun throughout the whole day and it is complete with a solarium with sun beds and umbrellas.
The Villa has a parking, free Wifi connection, laundry. Pets allowed (only small ones).

Interior Description

Villa Ilaria is composed of 2 independent units that have been recently restored with the purpose of join the traditional Tuscan Villa style with all the comforts required from the modern life.
The structures are characterized by precious terracotta floors, ceilings with wooden beams, stone walls and exposed bricks, wrought iron beds and typical farmer objects.
They are divided in the following way:
ILARIA 1: it can accommodate up to 6 people and it is divided into 2 levels. It is composed of a living room/dining room with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen , 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom, 1 bathroom with bath, 2 bathrooms with shower.
ILARIA 2: it can accommodate up to 4 people in a unique level and it is composed of a spacious living room/dining room with fireplace and a fully equipped kitchenette, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, 2 bathrooms with shower. All the bedrooms have A/C and heating (both on consumption). The two twin bedrooms can be converted into 2 double bedrooms.
The Villa has free Wifi connection and Tv Sat.
