Casale Valdichiana

At 10 km from the beautiful Etruscan town of Cortona, in the heart of real Tuscany lies Casale Valdichiana, an old farmhouse built of stone and carefully renovated keeping intact the traditional country style of this area. The house is located in a natural game reserve, surrounded by nature where you can observe wildlife in its natural habitat, in a free and peaceful atmosphere. Casale Valdichiana lies a short distance from the historic center of Cortona, with its history and its beauty, it is one of the most beautiful villages in the whole of Italy. The house turns out to be also convenient for traveling to visit the most beautiful towns of Tuscany and Umbria that are all less than an hour's drive away such as Montepulciano, Montalcino, Arezzo, Pienza, Siena, Perugia, Assisi and many more.
The outdoor areas of the house are very spacious and find their culmination in the beautiful infinity swimming pool (7 x 14 m - maximum height 1.80 m - open from 01 May to 10 October), fully sun exposed and complete of sun deck and shower. The pool area is equipped with lounge chairs and umbrellas dedicated to relax. The beautiful swimming pool is situated in the back of the owners’ house and is at the exclusive use of the guests.
The outdoor area is also equipped with barbecue, wood-burning oven and tables and chairs ideal for al fresco dining.
Given its location, Casale Valdichiana is the ideal destination for those who enjoy long walks or cycling in the Tuscan countryside.
In front of the property you will have a car park at your disposal. The house is situated 350 meters s.l.m.
The owners live in another house in the vicinity of the Casale. Pets Allowed. At the time of booking, before arrival or even to your local concierge you can ask and have access to most exciting and totally private experiences and itineraries as well as most loved in villa services.

Interior Description

The interiors of the house (250 square meters) are large and spacious. Furnished in classic Tuscan style, materials from one time, were used: ceilings with exposed wooden beams, terracotta floors, wrought-iron details and brick vaults are predominant. The furnishings are simple and functional but designed to give you maximum comfort.
Casale Valdichiana is divided into three apartments, a characteristic that makes it ideal for big families or groups of friends who want to spend their holidays together yet maintaining their privacy. On the ground floor lies the first of the three apartments, composed of a double bedroom, a living room with kitchenette and a bathroom with shower.
Also on the ground floor there is a spacious living room with a fireplace and a kitchen, ideal for cooking your meals all together, maybe to be enjoyed outdoors under the comfortable gazebo in front of the house.
On the first floor (connected by an external staircase) are the other two apartments, both with private entrance and both consisting of 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin), a dining room complete with kitchen and sofas (one is a sofa bed) and a bathroom with shower.
The whole house has air conditioning and window screens. Wireless internet is free.
